How free free speech?
I had a discussion on League of Reason regarding free speech. Some said that all speech should be 100% free with no limitations, a truly black and white world view in my opinion.
We came to discuss about hate speech and telling people indirectly what to do. The argument against me was that people should think for themselves.
Food for thought with laundry.
It seems weird that the religious hate- and fearmongers continiously talk about the morale downfall their or other countries are in.
Violence, rape, murder, and theft are all rising because less people attend church sermons, this what is shouted at us through every possible media. Yet none of them seem to want to direct their focus against the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Places where God/Gods have little room, yet these places has lower crime rate and no major natural catastrophe. This of course has natural explanations but these religious people still claim that there is a supernatural entity that watches us and will punish us if we do not honor him.
Why are these countries with such low church attendance and that many atheists spared their God’s wrath? Why have Allah not struck down Kurt Westergaard? Why was Israel? Hehe there is nothing supernatural, it is all a comfort blanket and many times used as an instrument of hate and fear.
